SLRSA’s Training and Transport Consultant Attends International Conference On Harmonization of Automotive Standards In Africa
The Training and Transport Consultant of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority – SLRSA Engineer Lamin Koroma is in Nairobi, Kenya to attend the 08-4 Consultative Meeting on the Harmonization of Automotive Standards in Africa on the theme: Unlocking The Benefits For African Continent
The meeting is organized by the *African Organization for Standardization – #ARSO and the objectives of the meeting are to discuss and draw the way forward for the Standardization and Harmonization of Automotive industry standards with a view for establishing the priority standards and conformity assessment procedures for Harmonization within the African continent in the background of the African Continental Free Trade area. Africa Agenda Agenda 2063. And the Accelerated Industrial Development of Africa – AIDA.
Ing. Lamin Koroma who is one of Sierra Leone’s Leading Automobile Experts has been assigned to work with representatives from Abidjan and Rwanda to develop a code of practice; vehicle test station evaluation, Lubricating oils and grease as well as automatic Transmission/braking fluids.
Sierra Leone is represented by Ing. Lamin Koroma from SLRSA and Professor Yormah Executive Director and Mr. Abdul Aziz Standards Manager at Sierra Leone Standards Bureau – #SLSB
The three are expected to travel again to Kenya in July this year with a team of Sierra Leonean Engineers from the Standards Bureau to make further and meaningful inputs to the program.
