SLP PRESS BRIEFING The Gender Directorate of the SLP is going through an evolution, as its work is not only concentrated to job fair campaign, advocating and ensuring fairness in policies that relates to the organization, recruitment drive sensitization etc.but now focussing and serving as a Catalyst to disseminate relevant information to the public bothering on Sexual and Gender Based Violence and Domestic Violence, which has increased rapidly in recent times.
The dynamic, versatile and outspoken Director has not only been providing strategic leadership supervision to the Units within his portfolio,ie * Family Support*and *Gender Units,but also personally taking the bull by its horn to ensure that the spate of such vices is suppressed if not eliminated.
The SLP Press Briefing of Thursday 12/12/19, championed by the Ag.Head of Media,ASP Samuel Saio Conteh and chaired by the Director of Community Affairs,Mr Edward Kalia Sesay(AIG) speaks volume as the Director of Gender Affairs,Mr Mustapha Kamara(AIG) gave tutorials to members of the Fourth Estate on the dispensation of the Amended Sexual Offences Act of 2019.
