The Management of the Radisson blue hotel donate food items worth over 1,000,000 to the social workers Sierra Leone (SWSL) for the feeding of the homeless and mentally impaired in the street of Freetown on Sundays. The Sunday feeding exercise organized by the social workers Sierra Leone is as a result of promoting human dignity and respect which happens to be one of their core values.
During the handing over of the food items, 3 gallons of oils, 1 cartoon of Maggie, 20 packets of salts and onion, the human resource Manager Mrs Clarice King was pleased to receive delegation from the social workers sierra Leone that included the secretary, the head of programs(name), media and one of the volunteer, she applauded the work of the social workers sierra Leone and encourage them to keep up the good work. ‘’ we were fortunate to watch some of your pictures on social media, you are doing extremely well, this small donation we are giving to you should serve as an inspiration to you’’ Mrs Clarice King said Upon receiving the donation.
The head of programs Mr Michael Koroma, the filed officer on behalf of the social workers sierra Leone thank the management of the Radisson Blu for extending their gesture to the homeless and mentally impaired in the street of Freetown by providing these items, he furthered that by saying this is part of the corporate social responsibility of businesses in the country, he encourages the human resource Manager or a worker from the Radisson blue to spare one Sunday to be part of the Sunday feeding exercise ‘’ we want you or a member from the management to be part of one of our Sunday feeding exercise which caters for the homeless and mentally challenge, we want you to interact with these people and see how life look like for them, when you give, it is good to know where your donation is going, we look forward to having you one of these Sundays’’ Mr Koroma said The Sunday feeding exercise is greatly supported by the Lift a village, humanitarians across the world and volunteers who spare their time every Sundays to help feed the homeless on Sundays
