President Bio to attend Extraordinary ECOWAS Session
His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will depart Freetown today, Thursday 7th November 2019 to attend an Extraordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government scheduled to take place in Niamey on Friday 8th November 2019.
His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will attend the Summit on the invitation of the President of the Republic of Niger and Chairman of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, His Excellency Mahamadou Issoufou. The summit will focus mainly on the evolving situation in Guinea Bissau.
From Niamey, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will travel to France to attend the Paris Peace Forum and UNESCO General Conference slated for 11th – 13th November 2019. The Paris Peace Forum is the annual international meeting for all actors of global governance initiated by the French President, His Excellency Emmanuel Macron. The maiden edition of the Paris Peace Forum was held in November last year where around 65 Heads of State and Government as well as 10 leaders from internationals organizations attended.
From Paris, His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will proceed to Tangier, Morocco to attend the 12th Edition of the MEDays Forum slated for 13th – 16th November 2019. The MEDays Forum is organized each year under the High Patronage of His Majesty, King Mohammed VI, the King of Morocco as one of the greatest international platforms between Africa and the Arab World. His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has been invited as a guest of honour.
His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio will return to Sierra Leone on 17th November 2019.
