National Youth Commission Pays Courtesy Call On President Bio

The Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of the National Youth Commission, Ngolo Katta and Emerson Kamara have paid a courtesy call on the President in State House H.E Julius Maada Bio.

The meeting was to intimate the President on activities of the Commission and challenges.

Among some of the activities they discussed were; the Youth Demostration Farms, the Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Project funded by AfDB and the possibility for scale up, the Obasanjo Youth Skills Acquisition Center, the EU supported youths in road construction project, Renovation of Youth Centers in Kono, Kabala and Kailahun with support from GIZ, Graduate Internship Programme with support from UNDP and more.
One of the major challenge highlighted was resource availability for the implementation of programs for youths.

The President was impressed and said he has noted the challenges. The President also noted that skills development for young people will build their capacity to support his government’s agenda.
