Minister Timbo consults Community Stakeholders nationwide

The Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education Hon. Alpha Timbo has today Tuesday 23rd August, 2019 embarked on the continuation of a nationwide community stakeholders engagement on the Free Quality School Education Programme starting with the Portloko District Council.
In a brief session with key stakeholders of Portloko District, before the commencement of the general stakeholders meeting, the Minister said the 17th of September, 2019 will mark a year since the implementation of the first phase of the Free Quality School Education programme started.
Therefore, the Minister said he is having a nationwide dialogue with stakeholders on achievements and challenges of the Free Education Programme implementation.
“When His Excellency the President launched the Free EducationProgramme, I went round the country to engage stakeholders on the relevance of theProgramme, thus now that the programme is clocking one year, it is important for me tomeet you again on account of the Programme”
Hon. Alpha Timbo, on behalf of the entire staff of his Ministry expressed appreciation to the council and local authorities of the district for the supports they gave to the structures of education at district level. These supports, the Minister said has kept the Free Education Programme implementation going smoothly.
