Kroo Bay Fire Victims received mattresses and blankets, as part of their emergency shelter kits

Today, victims of a fire incident at Kroo Bay received mattresses and blankets, as part of their emergency shelter kits.

The Freetown City Council thanks its partners; Welthungerhilfe for providing the blankets and mattresses, CRS for verifying the households indirectly affected by the fire for so that they can be included in relief efforts, and the Office for National Security (ONS) for overseeing the distribution process.

In the coming days, zinc sheets will be delivered so that victims can start rebuilding their homes, whilst sustainable medium to long term alternative housing plans are developed for the Kroo Bay Community.
