Kennedy Lugar Youth “YES” Program

Each year, the United States Government provides scholarship to over 800 High School students from 39 countries around the world to participate in the Kennedy Lugar Youth “YES” program. Throughout the course of the year, students make strong personal and academic connections with fellow students, their teachers, the home-stay families and the U.S. communities at large. Student return home with enhanced leadership skills in community service, independent research and other academic and social life-changing experiences. iEearn Sierra Leone has managed the YES program since 2009 and, to date, 40 students have participated in the nine-month exchange program.
