Her excellency Madam Fatima Maada Bio has engaged the women of Abacha street trading centre on the long standing dispute that has been existing at their trading ground over the issue of chairlady and settled all scored amongst them.

The issue was addressed in a meeting held by the First Lady at Sierra Leone People’s Party headquarter in Freetown, where she encouraged the women to work together and support each other, pointing out the fact that she is very much passionate about women’s empowerment.
H.E Fatima Maada Bio stated that, the dispute in relation to leadership mantle will only undermine all their efforts in a bid to promote women’s issues and unity in society.

After an intense and detailed deliberation between the respect parties and Madam Fatima Maada Bio, an agreement was reached by the market women on who to be the chairlady and deputy chairlady and to also work together as a team.

Kadie emerged as the newly elected Chair Lady and Jinna as the deputy Chairlady.
