FIRST LADY RECEIVE DONATION FROM MALAMAH THOMAS STREET SHOP WOMEN’S ORGANIZATION FOR FLOOD AND LANDSLIDE VICTIMS

The First Lady Sia Nyama Koroma has today 16th August 2017 received a donation of textiles (LAPPA) and cartoons of soap from the Malamah Thomas Shop Women’s Organization for onward distribution to victims of the Monday 14th August 2017 Landslide and flood in FREETOWN.

According to the Chairlady of the Organization Isatu Kamara, the donation is in response to the disaster and in sympathy for those affected.

According to her the move is also in adherence to the call by the First Lady for citizens to support each other especially those affected by the disaster.

Most of those that have lost their lives in this disaster were our customers she revealed.

She says that this is only an initial response from their organization as they will continue to monitor the situation.

The First Lady, Sia Nyama Koroma says that she is completely distraught by the incidents and thanked the Malamah Thomas Shop Women’s Organization for the donation.

She promised to distribute the materials to the affected people alongside the donors.
