FCC Launches the Sustainable Waste Management Project, Funded by the EU

Did you know that FCC, with Le 3.2 billion support from the EU, will provide a waste collection tricycle, equipment and training for the establishment of 61 micro enterprises in Freetown over two years?

As far as projects go, it is one of our favorites as it seeks to jointly tackle two of the major challenges that face the city – unemployment amongst young people and improper waste disposal. Additionally, it seeks to build on the gains made and lessons learned from similar interventions that have been implemented in the past.
