Umaru Fofana: The head of #SierraLeone’s Anti Corruption Commission, Ady Macauley has been sent on an indefinite “special leave”. By law his deputy acts. The circumstances are not immediately clear except that he’d had an inconvenient and even awkward working relationship with the new administration. His forced leave coincides with the issuing of a sealed indictment relating to alleged corruption during the Muslim pilgrimage last year in which very senior members of the former administration of Ernest Bai Koroma were implicated. It throws into doubt whether or when the sealed indictments will be unsealed and those named in it arraigned before the courts.
