ACC’s Scorpion Squad strikes on students taking WASSCE in a Private Home

Today 14th September 2019, the ACC’s fierce and very precise Scorpion Squad simultaneously struck two houses where students who ought to be in a center for WASSCE had been surreptitiously taken to private houses by the Teachers and supervisors to take the University entry exam.

Acting on intelligence that the Cotton Tree display has made the teachers and cheating students change their modus operandi from Special Rooms at Centers to Special Houses in communities, the cheats were all caught red handed with the materials and pre-prepared answers given to them by the teachers and supervisors in well coordinated hideouts. The owner who works for a construction company was away.

The house raided belongs to Mr Mohamed Kamara, a mechanic of 43A White Stone, Deep Eye Water in Freetown. Five persons have been arrested including 3 males and two females.

The Commissioner has instructed the fierce and very efficient Scorpion Squad to insulate themselves from the noise, noting that while the populace of Sierra Leone including sections of the educated elite has created its own sacred cows- the teachers, the Anti Corruption Commission will deal seriously with all corrupt persons irrespective of whether they are teachers or not and all those caught in these raids will be treated as common criminals. They remain under instruction to do all that is necessary and expedient to prevent, suppress and eradicate corruption in Sierra Leone
